I'm getting my download from http://distfiles.gentoo.org/releases/ia64/autobuilds/current-iso/install-ia64-minimal-20130806.iso. When i have it on CSM boot (Only other option from UEIF) it sys "No Operating System Found", so that doesnt work, then when i go to UEFI it looks like its going to load, but stays on a blackpage with my backlight on, it looks like its just about to boot grub but it never does. Im assuming its a grub issue on the Disk, but not sure what to do about it.
When i have CSM boot on i can boot up Fedora 15 which is what i have booted up right now. Fedora 15 doesnt boot in UEFI for some reason though it's supposed to. |

You can install Gentoo from any live or installed Linux system. You only need a shell and tar/partitioning tools.
The installation process is almost the same, the only step you have to skip is mirrorselect (but that can be done later from the installed system). |
