For a long time now, whenever I shut down I get messages like:

start-stop-daemon: fopen `/var/run/atmarpd.pid': No such file or directory

The problem is described here:

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-942226-start-0-postdays-0-postorder-asc-highlight-.html

The solution is said to be unmerging linux-atm but that package isn't installed. Any ideas?

Any suggestions? I've had this problem for a very long time.

`chmod a-x /lib/netifrc/net/clip.sh` should make it stop.

I try to manage that sort of thing with portage. Is there something I can re-emerge to set the permissions properly?

That file actually doesn't exist on my system.
