hi, i am new to gentoo and this forum. i just installed the new 1.4 "release" and need some help: what do i have to do to install/postinstall & configure kde? the normal kde dirs are empty (f.e. /usr/kde and stuff). please help! thank you very much... regards, exorial

emerge kde

should install everything you need including X. You can then configure X using xf86config. You should probably

emerge rsync

before you do kde to make sure you have the newest tree.
