I'm trying to emerge this library as part of a world update, and I keep getting a make error. I get to the "Source Compiled" phase, but then:

Code:

[. . . .emerge goes successfully to this point. . .]

The problem seems to be this command:

Code:

( /usr/bin/gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders ./libpixbufloader-svg.la && /usr/bin/gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders) > gdk-pixbuf.loaders 2>/dev/null

When I ran it manually (in the build directory), I got a segmentation fault. I tried revdep-rebuilding, globally turning off the "introspection" USE flag, and unmerging librsvg and then emerging it, but I still get the same problem. I'm out of ideas. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Krotos

Please file a bug if a package crashes reliably crashes during build.

I managed to reproduce it in a chroot, and updated this bug report:

Update from that bug report:

thanks for pointing this out: I decided to unmask gdk-pixbuf-2.27.2 instead and librsvg does build fine indeed.

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463844

I unmasked =x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.28* and librsvg builds, now.

This worked for me too. Maybe this should be unmasked and the previous vetaion should be masked.
