Since I've required a valid email address to confirm new registrations, I started thinking about this again.
Should we allow guests to vote on polls? Right now, in order to vote, you *must* be registered. I think by enabling guests to posts we can get more votes on polls. _________________ - Kyle Manna

i really dont mind people posting a quick question or whatever about gentoo as a guest on the forums (heck, i do it with plenty of other boards) but i think if someone wants to get involved enough into the forums to vote on a poll, i think they should take the 30 secs to fill out a registration.
it seems to me most of the polls are either for fun/general curiosity or else are relevant to the direction of the forum (i.e. should we add a new section to the forums blah blah) so i cant see them really mattering to anyone except registered users anyways...
anyhow, thats how i feel |

Thats the thing... do you want more votes, or poll results that reflect the feelings of the forum users (ie: registered) ??
