Is it possible to run a X11 server or similar on an Android tablet so I can:
use a keyboard and mouse to my Gentoo PC as input
use the tablet as display
is there a combination of Linux and Android SW which will permit this? |

As far as I know, you can install debian (and some other linux distributions) parallel to android. Guest system can be started in chroot. There you can start X and then from android use VMviewer or something like that to get the output from X on the android display. Usually, the device has to be rooted for this.
Last time I've tried it, the audio didn't work. The rest seemed working OK. |

I must've somehow missed the massive announcement that Android had moved away from running on the Linux kernel. When did that happen? |
