Hi forum,
I would like to emerge the g-cran package, but it requires migration the git-2 package. The portage seems not have such ebuild and google didn't bring anything useful. Has anybody managed to emerge git-2 by chance?
Best. |

Here goes the e-mail I got from the guy who wrote the g-cran ebuild.
Code: | Hi Fred,
You are the first email I received about g-cran since I wrote it. I am
no longer using Gentoo myself and am not supporting g-cran anymore.
That said, I found this bug report:
https://github.com/gentoo-science/sci/issues/23
suggesting g-cran is indeed broken, but there is some interest in the
g-common approach (which is to abstract away .ebuild file maintenance)
In fact, here's a guy reworking g-common. Gee, I didn't know any of my
code was being picked up, thanks for your email!

Perhaps you can collaborate to get CRAN working again.
