I like e tablets, they are small and easy to swallow. When they kick in all your worries about technology fade away into doof doof musak.

I usually settle for toast and PB with something to drink.

I just received my Helix 256gb 8mb ram in the mail yesterday and I can say it is an amazing device. I wouldn't give up my ipad for it but certainly my MacBook Air will now be going to my mom. The pen input is amazing its much better than the surface and blows the galaxy note 10.1 out of the water!

what's wrong with the Xoom besides that it's old and doesn't officially get any Android updates from google anymore (the community-compiled 4.2 android is awesome !) ?

a small transformer tab would be probably a good idea but I read that it tends to lag with stock ROM

I wonder what kind of tablets God gave Moses? Probably really cheap ones since He knew that Moses would go all Greek and smash them in a tantrum.

I was satisfied with the T61. Except when it broke suddenly one day (the infamous nvidia chip bug).

I am not satisfied with the G460.
1. The battery became next to useless within a year.
2. The ethernet chip disappears randomly from the OS (as in it doesn't even show up in either of Linux or Windows).
3. The wireless is crappy because the choice is between the broadcom proprietary driver (which is fidgety and often doesn't work properly with recent kernels), and the opensource brcmsmac driver (which is a bit more stable but has zero support for powermanagement). You could argue that with a nonfunctional battery, what good is powermanagement.
4. The display is really crappy. It was a big mistake to downgrade to 1366x768 from 1680x1050 on my T61.
5. The laptop typically runs very hot. At idle it is usually 58C and often hovers around 70C when I am working. Watching videos with vo vdpau:deint=3 in mplayer often overheats the laptop and it shuts down. So, I have had to accept that I shouldn't be using deint=3 with vdpau.
6. The trackpad is almost nearly useless.

Pros of the machine:
1. The video card has 1G ram, and has never been slow even when I had tons of windows open. It also never failed on suspend/resume. I have gone on for a month with at least two suspend/resume cycles per day and no reboot. In comparison, the T61 had 256M video ram and the drivers were never up to par all the while I had that laptop.
2. The CPU is fast, compared to the T61 I had.
3. It was cheap.
