Hi there,
In my kde-4.10.1 installation, the authentication screen is different from that of the lock kscreensaver. Shouldn't they be the same? Can anybody confirm such behavior?
Best

ferreirafm,

I'm not sure I'm understanding your question right, but for me (also running KDE 4.10.1) the initial login screen, and the unlock screen that shows when I'm afk > 10 minutes are not the same screen. The background is different, and the input field for the unlock screen is smaller.
I don't think they're supposed to be the same though.

Hi ShadowHawk92,
Don't know why, for some reason I was thinking they should be the same.
Anyway, thanks for helping.

The 1st one is kdm, but you could configure kdm to autlogin you in a locked session.

It has the advantage, that if you finaly type in your password, you don't have to wait for the kde session coming up. (On a single user system)

Bye
