At a theater.

It was awesome! Well, not sure everyone would call it that but I liked it.

Tom Cruise does a pretty decent action movie, and it can't be worse than Prometheus. Though I can never seem to get to a theater, so I probably won't see it.

Although I liked Prometheus, because of its visuals, this movie is even better because of its story and of-course visuals.

Boring, barely any character (development), CGI-fest, predictable and for what it's doing, way to long, imho.

Funny though, if you pay attention, there's a scene after the drones attack the hideout, which is shown from multiple angles. Depending on the view, the girl is sometimes taller, sometimes shorter than the gnome that is Cruise.

It is. Has a bit of story but people with Aspergers will find it boring.

I'll wait for it to come on cable.

I do not want to be responsible for assisting Tom Cruise in contributing money to $cientology, nor Morgan Freeman from contributing to those loathsome criminal scumbags, the democrat party.

Not specifically. I pay for a cable package, not that film.

If I used political or religious views as a way of choosing films I would be stuck watching shit compile and I would never rent a movie or go to a cinema again. Actually...never mind.

I have the Interwebs for movies. Pieces of eight, shiver me timbers, arrgh. I don't have asparagus because it makes my wee smell funny.

So you just don't quite understand. If I watch the film in the theater I am directly paying for that film, in the same way I would be were I to buy the DVD. However. I have this luxury known as "THE INTERNET & CABLE TV" where I don't have to directly support shit I can't stand.

No, I understand. It's notageek, his trolling is contagious.

Scientology isn't really a problem. But not wanting to assist with political donations and funding large, society affecting religions makes sense.

FYI, cable & satellite companies donate to political campaigns. Some donate to both, but give more to one.

It's surely supposed to be, at least in parts.

But it's sooo predictable and in no way creative:

- fighting with it's clone is lame in it's best moments
- the phase where they are chasing through the canyons looks like the canyon podrace sequence in Star Wars - but only in the best moments
- if you ever watched the animated series Tailspin, you know find this movie copy cats quite a lot of in-flight action
- music is telling you way to soon what's going to happen
- and more of the 'seen that a hundred times before'-stuff

I can live with action movies, but then they should do it right. Every M:I incarnation is better and they are already pretty bad in my book. For me, the story doesn't help this movie in any way, for what it's worth, I think it makes it even badder.

Edit, still better than the latest Die Hard, though.

lol, I've missed the last couple (actually, I don't think I saw #3 in the theater).

Thanks for expounding on why you didn't care for Oblivion.

I just saw Prometheus again and I would like to change my opinion of the movie. I dislike it very much. It is a bad movie. Take out the graphics, it is quite bad.

I don't always see a movie twice if I hate it, but when I do I tell everyone all about it.

Oh, ok. So because it was cool to bag the movie you thought you would change your mind about it. Makes sense.

Is that your revised opinion or the one you had earlier, or does it change regularly.
