|
|
I am running google-chrome. Whenever I try listening to a song on youtube - it crackles and pops.
Code: |
00:14.2 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA) (rev 40)
|
I have this built into the kernel.
Any help would be great.
Best,
treeman1111

Yes, I have already tried this. As far as I can tell it does very little to help me. Thank you for the reply.
EDIT: It seems to have worked this time. Thanks for reminding me of this. |

My guess: google-chrome is build for use with pulseaudio
Which I recently changed to: kdelibs, vlc, etc -alsa pulseaudio
Before starting the first time vlc with pulseaudio, remove the .config/vlc and when running play with volume.
Your option might be chromium:
www-client/chromium-27.0.1453.47
www-plugins/chrome-binary-plugins-9998
The binary plugins will provide pepperflash! |

I had the exact same symptom (for me it was the livestream on zdfsport.de). It really drove me crazy
Solution: Update from google-chrome:stable to google-chrome:beta.
I am sure it had to do with pepperflash (google-chrome bundles an own flash plugin built against their interface "NaCl"). (switching to another browser + adobe-flash was NOT possible for me, as zdfsport.de seems to make something crazy with their livestream, that prevents adobe-flash from producing smooth videos...) |
