I am trying to install gnome 3 but I have a very strange issue.
first let me tell you that i have install n my pc python 2.7 and 3.2. active is the 3.2
when I am trying to install gnome-shell I get an error massage that
there are no ebuild builds with USE flg to satisfy "dev-python/pygobject:3[python_targets_python2_6(-)?,ython_targets_python2_7(-)?-python_single_taget_pyhon2_6(-),python_singel_targetpython2_(-)]"
!!!One of the following packages is reured to complete your request:
- gnome-base/gnome-shell-3-6.3.1::gentoo (change USE: -python_targets_python2_7)

well when I put -python_targets_python2_7 in package.use it start compile but it fails at the end with no python targets !!!

i have try all combinations of the below flags in my make.conf ..

PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7 python3_2 pypy1_9 jython2_5"
PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python2_7"
USE_PYTHON "2.7 3.2"

PS: FYI now I don't have any desktop and I am typing this fro other pc.
thanks

yes I try that also :( . I have emerge (compile) python version 2.7 and 3.2 again ! :o

What I don't understand is why it ask me to add the -python_targets_python2_7 option to start compile since it supports the 2.7 python.
afterwards of course it will fail since gnome-shell supports only python 2.6 and python 2.7;
If I add the -python_targets_python2_7 than there is not python targets !!! :twisted: since available are only 3.2 and 2.7!

one comment if it helps. when I have the -python_target_python2_7 in the package.use the compile fails and ask me to add n the make.conf
PYTHON_TARGETS with python2_6 or python2_7
but i have the line
PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7 python3_2" :twisted:
i don't know what else to look :evil:

Portage is updated?
Code:
emerge portage

What happens if you do
Code:
emerge -pv --autounmask gnome-shell
