shutting down my system with ctrl-alt-del doesn't work anymore after an update.

it keeps rebooting which is kinda annoying :?

been that way since I first met gentoo in 2005. Probably you redefined the key combination sometime back and murphy's law of updates finally got you. Now you just have to remember what you did back then. like /shutdown -t3 -h now
