energyman76b gets lots of action and doesn't need silly blow-up dolls. He's an actual porn star. He just got picked to play the role of Assoth in The Three MusketQueers.

how do you know... wait... you are the guy playing Ben d'Ouveaux, the man with the secret special musketqueer compartment, used to stash all those weapons of ass destructions....

This word comes from English dialect geek, geck: fool, freak; from Low German geck, from Middle Low German. The root geck still survives in Dutch and Afrikaans gek: crazy, as well as some German dialects, and in the Alsatian word Gickeleshut: geek's hat, used in carnivals.[1] The Swedish transitive verb gäcka (to outsmart, to fool) has the same root; att gäcka rättvisan (to escape justice by clever tricks) is a set expression.

Formerly, in 18th century Austria-Hungary, Gecken were freaks shown by some circuses. In 19th century, in North-America, the term geek referred to a freak in circus side-shows (see also freak show).[citation needed] The 1976 edition of the American Heritage Dictionary included only the definition regarding geek shows.

I don't think what she/he said seemed foolish.

a Geck is not a fool. It is a fop.

And that ones fits well with women. More concerned with fashion than knowledge or facts.

I'll elaborate.

To laugh at said cliché. I would have thought that was apparent, but if not, my apologies for not being sufficiently explicit.

I was referring to the etymology, ass, not the current meaning of the word.

Also, I didn't use Wikipedia; I used some online etymology dictionary. :P

You know about etymology, right? The study of insects?

In the mean time, this thread seemed to have progressed quiet a lot.

BoneKracker ... OK, perhaps its me who's not sufficiently explicit, I was pointing at the possibility that such a rule was in effect regardless of any established fact, that in the context of "communication" a solitary, and trite "you're a woman, then" stands as an example of the operative norm. So, to then present said cliché was likewise standard fare, and more a statement of fact than an exposure of the cliché to ridicule. This is why I posed it as a question, and asked what purpose it served, I already *know* that the rule is operative, it was illustrated in various ways prior to my posing the question, in fact, its at the centre of my initial post, a post that has prompted little more than "you're a woman, then" and "it writes like a woman: confused, unable to express a thought clearly, babbling".

Language and communication aren't transparent or straightforward, some statements carry hidden assumptions, and some forms of ridicule are straight restatements of the concepts they ridicule. Identifying when this is the case requires thought and so such things are judged on the context ... it would make humour, satire, etc, impossible if it was altogether cut and dry.

best ... khay

Define active. I know of at least 4 female users, of which 2 are writing posts now and then and 3 of them are on IRC.

I know that one is actively trying to come over as male, since she already had problems getting accepted as a female, constant request ('pics or didn't happen', 'tits or gtfo', etc).

As for the other mentioned forum, never seen that before.

Yes see, that proves my point. Only 4. There should be at lest 20% to be a significant amount.

Another thing that should be noticed in the Gentoo Alexa page apart from the bad sex ratio is the average age which appears to be young. Therefore, this fact --

Comes into action justifying the behavior. This also proves Linux engineers/developers suck big time when approaching women.[/quote]

For the investigation --

Quote:
In my experience what is "assumed" is that a woman is a "troll" ... with "HUGE balls" ... unless otherwise identified.

A guess 'as if' it was a man. And the statement's wrong at places which's obvious for a 'man'.

Just for the record, I think it's time we all addressed the elephant in the room and acknowledged that wildhorse is also female. There, I said it.

It's been obvious to me for years.

These guys at sevenforums are using php, which makes me believe they're spoofing the server software and OS.
