No he won't. A politically correct version (or "revision", rather) of history will prevail, and Obama will end up on Mount Rushmore.
That's the optimistic version. The pessimistic version is that the U.S. will become Stalinist, and Mount Rushmore will be blasted clean of the existing likenesses, which will be replaced with slightly smaller versions of Lincoln, Marx, King, and Obama (with the history books re-written to portray Lincoln and King as communists).

Yeah, but "attacked" by "domestic terrorists" and "anarchists" (like dmitchell).

You aren't really alone. The publicly acknowledge 100 mile zone is just to get people used to the idea. If need be, it wouldn't apply anywhere else within the US. If not needed, then the inner area will get used to hearing about the new rules of search & seizure, so when it happens to them, they'll just think it is normal.
Wasn't this kind of thing what led to Punk Rock? I wonder when this generation will wake up.

So does two thirds of the rest of the country. The coast is also considered the boarder. Nine of the ten largest metropolitan areas in the US are within the zone; the only exception is DFW.
