|

I can't seem to do it... K3B Says "Empty BDR Medium, Please insert any empty DVD medium into drive" Brasero says "Please rplace the disc with a support DVD or CD"
I don't know what to do. The ISO won't fit onto a CD and I don't have any DVDs Even though the image is small enough to fit onto a dvd it should still support burning onto a BDR. I'm at a loss. Any help would be great. |

Hm, strange...
If you have an ISO you can usually burn it at every optical media (CD-R / DVD-R / BD-R) as long as the media is big enough for the ISO.
I have an external BD burner on which I burn HD MKVs files from time to time. Usually I master an ISO with UDF first by using ImgBurn under WINE and afterwards I burn it either with Brasero or XFBurn. Given your burner has no problems with a specific format (CD/DVD/BR) I can hardly imagine that you can not burn your iso.
You might give XFBurn a try.... |

Thanks for your response.. Yeah, I don't know what is going on here. It seems like it should work, but it doesnt. As long as the iso is small enough to fit it should burn. |

Another may be stupid idea:
Why not try and burn your ISO with growisofs...
The is an example at the Backup to DVD Wiki entry on the syntax:
http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/Backup_to_DVD
At least in commandline / bash you might get a speaking error message. |

Yeah, Thank you, It does indeed work with growisofs and cdrecord.
It still seems weird that the gui burners wont let it happen though. |

Glad it helped
Honestly even without problem I use a rather huge set of console tools, self-written scripts and GUI tools for my various burning work, since no tool incorporates all my needs. |
