|
|
Virtualbox has been version 4.2.6 for a while now and I am not getting a direct update with the rest of my automatic updates.
What is the best method to keep VB updated?
I used kernel switcher to install the version I now have.

Are you running a stable or a testing system? app-emulation/virtualbox-4.2.6 is in the testing branch, while version 4.1.22-r1 is the latest one you can get if you run the stable branch. |

Not to worry. Todays update brought in 4.2.6.
I would not mind an answer but maybe it's better to wait for the update to be included?

I don't understand what you mean by "it's better to wait for the update to be included". How do you update your system? I usually do the following thing:
Code: | emerge -uDNav @world --with-bdeps=y |
