I voted .308. Better game round than the .223. Great Black Tail or Muley round. The .308 could be used for game as large as Wapiti, though takes a well placed shot on an unsuspecting animal to get a clean drop kill.
My .338 Win. Mag. on the other hand.... _________________ I am not young enough to know everything.

Anybody in here ever had a Wrist Rocket? I had one [http://www.sausa.com/product.php?id=7&category=16]like this[/url] when I was about 15 or so. Amazingly powerful and accurate. So much fun!
Apparently they have improved. This would be ideal for slaying stray cats, rabid coons, etc.
Note: not legal in many blue state municipalities where they have apparently been used for ethnic gang warfare. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

| I was wanting .223 because I could buy one round for both weapons. Now I'm thinking about .308 since everybody out there is hoarding the .223 ammo like a bunch of fucking children. |

I'd recommend the 7mm Remington Magnum chambering if you are considering hunting. _________________

Get the 308.
In any situation you'd rather use a bolt action than an AR-15, you'd rather be using .308 than 5.56. _________________ My political bias. |

Well, I went to buy a locking gun cabinet today. I allotted a lot more for it than I ended up needing, so I had enough money left for an impulse buy. And lo and behold, there was the .223 variant sitting on the shelf. I'll worry about the financial fallout of this later. For now, I need to bolt my gun cabinet to the wall.
I hate California for making me wait ten whole days to pick the thing up. It's a fucking deer rifle. |
