The ebuild is in the gamerlay overlay. emerge layman then layman -a gamerlay. then emerge steam-meta make sure you edit your make.conf to allow the gamerlay overlay. and I think you have to unmask steam-meta. The ebuild is nice because if your running an amd64 setup. it has use flags to help with flashplayer and all that 32bit jazz.
Its now in pulic beta access is free to anyone. There is only one free game available on it yet, and the vast majority of games that do have linux clients havent been made available on it yet. Its kinda pointless until they add more games. But check it out. The more people who use the beta the more likey valve will add more games. For them its all about numbers as to how worthwhile this endeavor will be.
EDIT: If you are using the opensource radeon driver make sure you have the at least emul-linux-x86-opengl-20121202-r1 installed. Older versions dont have a new enough 32bit mesa. _________________ MB: Biostar TForce 6100 AM2 @ 250x10

Thank you for your response.
Agree. The more the merrier, so please all install this, since we don't want to end up in a Microsoft App store on Windows 8+.
My Steam client says "41 titles" when I click on the Linux tab.... |
