|
|
Hi,
ever since I upgraded to kernel 3.6 (from kernel 3.4), and recently from 3.6 to 3.7, I have been unable to mount any SD cards (or CompactFlash etc.). This happens in both my built-in Ricoh card reader and my externel USB multi-card reader. It makes no sense to me? The kernel reports the device, but no device node is created. Neither /dev/sdb nor /dev/mmc-something appear. Does anyone know what I have to do?
This is from my kernel config
Code: |
Device Drivers -->
--- MMC/SD/SDIO card support
[ ] MMC debugging
[ ] Assume MMC/SD cards are non-removable (DANGEROUS)
[*] MMC host clock gating (EXPERIMENTAL)
*** MMC/SD/SDIO Card Drivers ***
<*> MMC block device driver
(8) Number of minors per block device
[*] Use bounce buffer for simple hosts
< > SDIO UART/GPS class support
< > MMC host test driver
*** MMC/SD/SDIO Host Controller Drivers ***
<*> Secure Digital Host Controller Interface support
<*> SDHCI support on PCI bus
[*] Ricoh MMC Controller Disabler (EXPERIMENTAL)
<*> SDHCI platform and OF driver helper
< > Winbond W83L51xD SD/MMC Card Interface support
< > TI Flash Media MMC/SD Interface support (EXPERIMENTAL)
<*> MMC/SD driver for Ricoh Bay1Controllers (EXPERIMENTAL)
< > ENE CB710 MMC/SD Interface support
< > VIA SD/MMC Card Reader Driver
< > VUB300 USB to SDIO/SD/MMC Host Controller support
< > USB SD Host Controller (USHC) support

Do you have the probe all Lun option activated in the kernel ?

Nothing at all. As if the device wasn't even active. And the external USB device doesn't register the cards either. But it worked in kernel 3.4 -> That's how I know it's not a hardware defect... And the cards work fine in 2 different cameras. _________________ Prayer can change the world! |

No, nothing. I have tried these before, because I know how important it is to report error messages in order to find a solution, but here I'm at a loss. Has the SDHCI kernel option been connected to something new that I need to activate since 3.4? _________________ Prayer can change the world! |
