install custom fonts? ocr-a and ocr-b fonts

I would like to install ocr-a for use on my system.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ocr-a-font/files/OCR-A/1.0/

any advice on how to get this working?

copy them in to your ~.fonts or xorg font directories for system wide access.

Thanks it worked I just had to restart openoffice.
I am not used to things being so easy in linux.
