|
|
Hello,
I've decided to spend my christmas holidays touring in New Zealand with my friends but unfortunately I'll have a job meeting on December, 20th at 21.30. This implies a skype video call back in Europe. On that day I'll be in Auckland. I'd like to know two simple things:
1)Is there a place where I can make such call undisturbed? Places like conference rooms or internet cafes are fine, as long as I can have a private space and the place is still open at that hour. Money is not really an issue
or
2)How much reliable are 3G connections in New Zealand? I've been thinking about getting a NZ phone number and enjoy some mobile connectivity, but I'm afraid of latency issues
Any help is appreciated. Thank you |

One thing you could check is with the hotel you are staying. They may have a room you can use "undisturbed." They may also be able to offer other input as to how you could make the call. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

Don't bother. If you really wanted the job you'd have figured this out by yourself already. You're in here asking for permission to avoid the call; okay, I give you permission. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

I have a helpful comment..try "Google", it's a "search engine" used to find "stuff" and "information". Here's a "URL" or "Uniform Resource Locator" link, you "click" it with your "mouse" to get to the "web page". Click this!!!!111 |

| There is a reason if I'm asking here (and yes, I'm already searching on google): I want a first hand opinion from the users of this forum. This is not something that can be solved by reading the fucking manual |

Oh well, a quick flick of the wrist and I am sure you will feel calmer and more able to handle life. |

@devilheart: Check with the RV driver. Perhaps he can reserve a room :D j/k
On a serious note, if you can get cell coverage, the RV may be the best bet. Just kick everyone else out for the duration.
Unfortnately sugar is the only user I recall being from NZ. You could try sending a PM. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.
