Democratic Rep: Amend Constitution To Allow Control Of Speech
Now realize, this is the same fool who thought that Guam would capsize if more people stood on it.
So to have this mental midget, who swore to uphold the constitution as a condition of his employment, not understand what "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." means is understandable. What is shocking are the absolute morons who voted for this retard.
To simplify, Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances..
Democrat moron, aka, typical democrat. _________________ If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for the problems caused by government, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap |

He isn't proposing a law, he's proposing a constitutional amendment, ostensibly to amend the 1st amendment. You understand the constitution isn't immutable, right? _________________

That's in the Bill of Rights.

The Bill of Rights is the first ten amendments to the constitution. Again, not immutable if the people agree to a proposed amendment. _________________

Umm, again, he's not proposing a law, he's proposing an amendment. So he's not violating the constitution. _________________

Well it's a first step towards obedience training. First they fool people and get elected, then you undergo training and lastly, any objection from that point on is only allowed if it spelles "Moooo".
Funnies thing (and most tragic) will be when those who voted for them are put to their knees to say Mooo. Mcgroooff. |

You haven't explained yourself at all. You apparently think the constitution should be immutable and not subject to change. Well it isn't, and it is. The laundry list of amendments should have been the give-away. _________________

this threas peaked my interest, so I looked some stuff up. Like this gem:
| Quote: |
The Congress shall have power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common defence[note 1] and general Welfare of the United States;
|
socialism!
| Quote: |
To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
|
even worse! debt making, and non-free market... oh god!
oh, and that 'bill of rights' - is just an amendment... at this point I fell of my comfy chair, laughing. _________________

The Bill of Rights is not an amendment, it is the first 10 amendments to the constitution.

the bill of rights is not an amendment
it is an amendment
oh wey
so what do we learn? your constitution is pretty much bare from any rights whatsoever and those 'rights' you think you have are just a couple of amendments. Now tell me: why can't those abolished or changed by other amendments? And don't begin with the 'congress shall...' crap. _________________

Ok, so it is a language issue. The Bill of Rights is the first 10 amendments. It is not in and of itself an amendment. _________________ If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for the problems caused by government, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap |

The Americunts are the stupidest people on the planet.
No wonder their constitution is such a joke. Even energyman laughs, even though he is very hard to entertain. |

but every single one of those ten is an amendment.
So.. what stops Congress to just drop any of those amendments - or put into power some amendments overriding any of those ten?
The constitution? Doesn't look like it does. The constitution is busy demanding social welfare and taxation. _________________
