Hi. I'm trying to upgrade to Gnome 3 but i have the next problem:
Quote: | [blocks B ] gnome-base/gnome ("gnome-base/gnome" is blocking gnome-base/gnome-light-2.32.1-r2)
|
Even if i try to "unblock" it i'm not able to upgrade to v3, it only will add a few other packages that aren't in gnome-light.
So how am i supposed to upgrade to Gnome 3?? |

Gnome3 is unstable. You need to keyword in your /etc/portage/package.accept_keywords file. You should just need to add something like this and specifically add any package that portage complains is the wrong version. That said, mixing stable with unstable can be very bad for the health of your computer. It might be better just to change to the unstable branch by adding "~" to your arch in make.conf. _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box. |

Remove gnome-light before installing gnome.
That won't delete real packages, its a meta-package. |
