Hi, I bought the new indie humble bundle, downloaded and installed Eufloria HD and I am having weird sound problems. The music in main menu and other game sounds are "poping", audio in my other programs works just fine. I also tried just running .ogg files from game music folder with Audacious and it plays fine and without any poping...
There are no errors in terminal output.
I am using 3.4.1-pf kernel and ALSA.
Thank you for any help :) .

I was looking this stuff up - are you running Gentoo on a mobile device here?

I'm not sure if this applies, but maybe try running alsaconf as root, and then making sure alsasound is in the default runlevel?

Hi, sorry for not replying for so long. I tried running alsaconf as a root and moving alsasound to default and boot, nothing helped. I tried running Team Fortress 2 with ALSA and it seems that there is something wrong with my buffer:
Code:
ALSA lib pcm.c:7339:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occurred

so I tried doing something in .asoundrc:
Code:

pcm.snd-hda-intel {
    type hw
    card 0
    device 0
    period_time 0
    period_size 2048
    buffer_size 65536
    buffer_time 0
    periods 128
    rate 48000
    channels 6
}

but I dont think its correct because it didnt fix it. Anyone can help me fix it please? :)

PS: Now I tried VVVVVV from HIB#3 and same thing, sound is jumping and in console same error is running all the time.
It looks like the programs that have problems are using SDL libraries, so I tried replacing their SDL .so files with my and it didnt help, I am wondering if I have wrong version or something:
Code:

[I] media-libs/libsdl
     Available versions:  ~1.2.14-r3[1] 1.2.14-r6 1.2.15-r2 {{X aalib alsa +audio custom-cflags dga directfb fbcon ggi +joystick libcaca nas opengl oss ps3 pulseaudio static-libs svga tslib +video xinerama xv}}

     Available versions:  1.2.11-r1 1.2.12-r1 {{flac fluidsynth mad (+)midi mikmod mod modplug mp3 playtools smpeg static-libs timidity vorbis +wav}}
     Installed versions:  1.2.12-r1(14:39:07 12/01/12)(flac mad mp3 static-libs vorbis wav -fluidsynth -midi -mikmod -mod -modplug -playtools -smpeg -timidity)
     Homepage:            http://www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_mixer/

EDIT: fixed it!! I had to use ~/.asoundrc config from Archinux wiki.
