Ok, this is strange - noticed a prob with one of my drives, replaced the cable (the same thing occurred a year or two ago and this sorted it. I think the controller is on the
way out, but I digress)
and ..
The odd thing is, my machine seems and feels faster. This shouldn't make any difference whatsoever.
Any odd things that you've noticed in your respective neck of the woods ? _________________ When you break rules, break 'em good and hard |

| A bad cable can cause a high interrupt rate (by the controller), which in turn would lower the remaining computing power, increase your system's response time, and lower the data transfer rate through that controller and its attached disks. |

| All my drive cables are red, which is the fastest colour. My Hyundai Excel is also red, but turns blue on passing due to the pseudo-doppler effect. |
