Is your Gnome-3.6 overlay dependend on systemd as init but you don't use it at your grub kernel cmdline?
(Isn't this forum category unsupported software just of now?) |

If you don't know about this all, better keep a stable Gentoo! Otherwise you are caught midst of big transitions which is fighted about midst Gentoo maintainers. |

Hi everyone
i returned back because i wanted to use gnome3.6 and for now i still have the problem (previously i returned to the old version 3.4) i have followed a thread that indicates that systemd is not mandatory for the 3.6 so i put "-systemd -consolekit" in my /etc/make.conf but the problem is still there.
can someone help me or give me a tutorial to allow me to connect through gdm.

That response is not authorative; there is no plan to make systemd a hard dependency on Gentoo unless we really have too, which isn't the case so far.

You'll likely need one of both; I wonder if it is even possible to set them that way, there should be a REQUIRED_USE covering this. |
