That's fucked. Mongolian Barbecue is cheap meat and mostly veggies, and for £12, you should get five bowls if that's what it takes to fill you. Think about all the people who go in there and eat about £3 worth.
I bet they lost more profit by doing this than they kept, because it comes across as unfriendly, dickish, and miserly.
Then again, if the guys were being ricks about it (and they kind of look it), karma ftw. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

I'm not defending the restaurant for violating their own sale's pledge, I'm just pointing out a truism. _________________ If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for the problems caused by government, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap |

Most people don't likely take it as a serious challenge, though I think the "rules" imply you're going to eat more than you normally would, "to get your money's worth." Sometimes they seem to raise prices in anticipation of people eating more than normal, so that if you eat a "normal" quantity, you're paying too much.
Also, if you're going to advertise it, it would almost seem worth marketing when people "take up the challenge." Otherwise, the proprietor just seems like a jack wagon. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.
