padoor ...

you need to build sys-fs/udev with the 'static-libs' useflag enabled as lvm2 has IUSE +static and +static-lib.

best ... khay

Hi, I'm having a similar problem with sys-fs/lvm2-2.02.88, however, it's just failing, nothing to do with ludev. I have built udev with the 'static-libs' use flag, but it does no good. I get the following message at the end of the emerge:

Code:

 * revdep-rebuild failed to emerge all packages.
 * you have the following choices:
 * - If emerge failed during the build, fix the problems and re-run revdep-rebuild.
 * - Use /etc/portage/package.keywords to unmask a newer version of the package.
 *   (and remove 5_order.rr to be evaluated again)
 * - Modify the above emerge command and run it manually.
 * - Compile or unmerge unsatisfied packages manually,
 *   remove temporary files, and try again.
 *   (you can edit package/ebuild list first)

I have also tried to keyword it, and emerge a newer version, but it fails in the same manner. I would really appreciate any help I can get on this!!

Thanks!!

Todd
