Hello guys, I'm trying to tweak my rc configs in order to decrease the boot time
Now my laptop boots in 11.8 seconds and I noticed that the services that takes longer to initialize is udev. How can I tweak it?
I already use the "rc_parallel" flag. Thank you! |

GSnake ... can I ask what you plan to do with the extra seconds?

# WARNING: whilst we have improved parallel, it can still potentially lock
# the boot process. Don't file bugs about this unless you can supply
# patches that fix it without breaking other things!
best ... khay |

albright,
Maybe you need coreboot?
WARNING:be really really sure you want to try this as it can brick your system.

too scary for me (and no sign they support x300)
anyway, I wasn't complaining; I can wait 30 seconds to boot _________________ .... there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth
