Hi,
Got Mate to start up, but I get a blue screen and a pointer and that's it. I've revdep-ed to check I've got everything, but still nothing. Is there a log I should look at.
Any other suggestions to hopefully get this working?

try installing nautilus.
That worked for me on cinnamon with a similar error.
I think you'll have to make sure you install the gtk2/gnome2 version of nautilus for mate. |
