BoreKracker should be limited to a maximum of one anti-Obama post per day.

Although it can be kinda fun to have an argument with someone with opposing views (before I inevitably crush then beneath my sandalled feet) this is just getting boring. I mean really, suck the oxygen out of the air, stab yourself in the head to make it stop boring.

Enough already.

Actually there should be one rule to the forum.

"No user should dictate terms of use of the forum in general and OTW in particular, to another user. Liberty, liberal blah etc."

I think pasting more than one posts should be discouraged, if it's that long just a link and the relevant quote would be enough surely. Then the reader can decide if they care enough to follow the link.
*edit* Third option "no political arguments" missing :P

Well, if your political arguments are that weak, that you don't want to have them, maybe it's time you looked at a different political argument.

I didn't post any anti-Obama threads today. In fact, I only created one thread today at all. It was about liberal media bias.

If you look at the front page right now, you'll see two factually correct and credible threads about Obama by me, at least a half-dozen far-left-wing-Rtaint-asshat-troll threads by sugar, and two threads by mcgruff specifically dedicated to harassing BoneKracker.

Now you tell me who really needs some kind of constraints placed on their posting. :o

I don't tend to argue about politics, but it's fun watching other people split hairs. And why would I look at a different political argument? I don't understand. Unless by "different..argument" you meant "different forum" in which case, not just now thanks.

I think Obama supporters should just ignore Obama threads.

It's against their nature. That's like asking a moth to avoid flames or rats to ignore the Pied Piper.

Take a look right now, at OTW.

It's sugartroll's "profane word" threads taking up 80% of the blatantly partisan threads.

Your poll is utterly without merit, as were you to be honest, you'd ask for sugar to calm down.

Obama supporters abandoned self-control as a prerequisite so that isn't going to happen.

Garry Kasparov's facebook page wrote:
Garry is going from the police station to the hospital to check his injuries and to confirm he is not intoxicated or biting anyone! Then he may have to go back to the police station briefly tonight, and again next week. It seems the police really want to use this 'biting an officer' story as a threat to charge Kasparov with assault.

Am I the only one here who read mcgruff biting pjp as part of other threads ?

Your logical fallacy is tu quoque.

Quote:
Pronounced too-kwo-kee. Literally translating as 'you too' this fallacy is commonly employed as an effective red herring because it takes the heat off the accused having to defend themselves and shifts the focus back onto the accuser themselves. The implication is that if one's opponent also does the thing that they are accused of, then their opponent is a hypocrite. Irrespective of whether this might be true or not, the problem lies in the fact that it is effectively a tactic to avoid recognising and responding to the criticism of one's argument - by turning it back on the accuser, the accused doesn't need to answer the accusation.

I interpret it to mean don't go knocking on doors in Tokyo if you'll be upset when an Asian answers the door.
