I am doing an emerge clean, but it seems to be stuck at updating scrollkeeper

snipit:
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamelsendmail.so.0
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamelsendmail.so
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamelpop3.so.0
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamelpop3.so
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamellocal.so.0
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamellocal.so
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamelimap.so.0
--- !targe sym /usr/lib/evolution/camel-providers/1.0/libcamelimap.so
>>> Updating Scrollkeeper database...

end snipit:

I have left it for over an hour with no change. Ive checked with procman which shows scrollkeeper cpu usage a 83 or more % cpu time with procman running. The system is definately busy as writing this post is slow from keyboard to screen. System gentoo 1.2, gcc 2.95.3, cpu P200MMX, 96 meg ram, 20 gig HD.

Any suggestions? just cntl-c it?

Brian, PS it's now over 1.5hrs..

Take a look at this post:

Apparently unmerging scrollkeeper and emerging it again fixes the problem.
Don't ask me why, it just works.
