Gapless flac playback seems to be broken in gstreamer applications (I've tried rhythmbox, clementine, and sonata) with the gstreamer & plugins versions that are currently in portage.
I did manage to fix it by creating a local overlay and upgrading the following packages:
| Code: | media-libs/gstreamer-0.10.35 --> media-libs/gstreamer-0.10.36
media-libs/gst-plugins-base-0.10.35 --> media-libs/gst-plugins-base-0.10.36
media-libs/gst-plugins-good-0.10.30 --> media-libs/gst-plugins-good-0.10.31
media-plugins/gst-plugins-flac-0.10.30 --> media-plugins/gst-plugins-flac-0.10.31 |
All I had to do was change the version number in the ebuild filenames and the new versions compiled just fine.
When are gstreamer 0.10.36 and the more up to date plugins going to make it into the official tree? |

| So....gstreamer 0.10.36 was released five and a half months ago, but it's not in portage? Is there a big bug blocking it or something? |
