cant re-install grub and kernel version is 3.2.12???

my kernel version is suppose to be 3.3.8-gentoo, but uname -r returns 3.2.12. Everything is configured for 3.3.8 so i dont know what to do. my modules dont work, and nothing works.

After you made your most recent kernel, did you update your boot loader?
