I updated to mesa 8.0.3 , but opengl is still using 2.1 and an R600 card HD4290
| Code: | OpenGL renderer string: Gallium 0.4 on AMD RS880
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 8.0.3
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.20
|
I try to export :
and
but nothing changed
I readed the gentoo wiki guide :
http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Radeon
and add this file but not luck:
| Quote: | | Environment variables could be put into a file like /etc/env.d/99radeon to have them initialized during boot |
so i guess the variable is diasable in last stable kernels so i tried the last release candidate 3.5-rc4 but nothing changes.
Any idea ??? _________________ ln -s /user/artic /user/arctic

Ah cool, I think we also got a <ref> tag since yesterday, I try to mention it... doesn't harm though to have the variable set
//edit: no <ref> tag yet... _________________ Gentoo on Uptime Project - Larry is a cow |

not for all cards:
| Quote: | | Just missing from action now is the Radeon HD 6000 series with the Northern Islands and Cayman GPUs, then of course the Radeon HD 7000 series support too whenever that new driver is finally into shape. The HD 6000 series support can be toggled easily at this time via the R600_STREAMOUT environment variable. |

enabled by default. The only thing missing is MSAA and there is no way to
enable it at the moment. |
