|
|
Hey people,
I decided to make a tutorial on getting Flash to work
in Chromium, since answers to this on the net are
either not accurate or incorrect. Even though this is
intended for Chromium users, it should also work on
other browsers such as Firefox etc.
I hope it is useful enough, if you notice any inconsistencies
or mistakes or have questions, just leave me a message here
or PM me.
Cya around,
Xeggs
Here is the tutorial: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xeggstutorials/files/FlashFullScreen.odt.tar.gz/download |

I do not want to discourage you, but advicing people to use flash 10.* is not a very good idea if you consider GLSA's like this
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-927834.html
I have also taken a look at your second work about fglrx and it has many errors, not mentioning the fact it is Gnome-specific.
Finally, it is 2012 and people will very rarely look at the documents in .odt format, especially tarred and gzipped.
If you really want to share your knowledge, maybe consider a wiki or blog, and make sure that your solutions are correct before publishing them.
Everybody has to start somewhere, but make sure you are not misleading pepole _________________ BTW, TWM FTW! |

Ah thanks for pointing out the thread made by GLSA. I have
read it and do agree with what he states. However, my
intention was not to advise/mislead people to use Flash 10, but
simply present it as a solution to watching videos in full
screen mode on YouTube.
I agree that I should have added more content about the
security risks, my apologies for that.
About the errors that you seemed to have picked up,
would you be so kind to point them out to me? And yes
it is Gnome-specific, I will add that to the document (I
thought I had but I must have missed it!).
Thanks a lot for the general tips though, I will remember them
well & be more specific in the future!
One last question though is this | Quote: | | Finally, it is 2012 and people will very rarely look at the documents in .odt format, especially tarred and gzipped. |
really true? Maybe it's just me, but I normally take any
solution if it has a possibility of working :O |
