What? |
The meeting Monti-Hollande ......
It is just a matter of time (not much) before the French debt (growing) meets the Italian debt (sinking)
Hopefully something that makes sense will came out from the next 4way meeting the 22nd June

There are good news for Italy as well, Balotelli has a broken knee, there will be a lot less problems in the next game ... |
you might be able to finish it with 11 players.
Just like England without Rooney - a much better team. |
Well since the ref against Ireland is the same Turkish ref that kicked out Balotelli in Champions League there are suspects that the knee is just an excuse and he is being sidelined.

Quite simply, City crashed out of the Europa League because of him. |

I just realized, the referee for Germany vs Denmark is going to be Carballo from Poland vs Greece.
Oh dear. |

I try to figure out, how high the Netherland AND Germany have to win, that Netherlands is not out of the cup.
Probably 2:0 Netherlands Portugal and Denmark is not allowed to score anything but has to lose.
Then we have 3 teams with the same points (3) and Netherlands the only one with 0 goal difference. -1 is not enough because Denmark won against the Netherlands before... except Germany wins 2:0, then -1 for the Netherlands is enough etc. ? _________________ Gentoo on Uptime Project - Larry is a cow |

forget goal difference. when two teams are on par, only the encounter of both matters. _________________ backend.cpp:92:2: warning: #warning TODO - this error message is about as useful as a cooling unit in the arctic |

There are 3 teams with the same points, as I read then the good old goal difference matters.
this seems old:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Euro_2012_qualifying#Tiebreakers
Nope, seems up to date:
| Quote: | | b) Superior goal difference resulting from the matches played between the teams in question; |
<bullshit>So, since the dutch lost against Portugal and Denmark already and can only gain maximal 3 points, they are out already?</bullshit>
So, they can still make up against Portugal, if Germany wins against Denmark Which still puts them on third in the group and they are out regarding your rules
//edit: my guess:
the point b) means, they take out all goals Germany scored or were scored against Germany and compare the goal differences between the three teams with 3 points. So the Dutch need at least 2:0 and Germany needs to win against Denmark with whatever they want, doesn't matter. _________________ Gentoo on Uptime Project - Larry is a cow |

That's almost right (I found a complete string of rules in German but google translate fails royally and I'm too lazy right now - at first, they take the points made from games between the three, then goals). Basically anything can still happen in that group. _________________ backend.cpp:92:2: warning: #warning TODO - this error message is about as useful as a cooling unit in the arctic |

The Portuguese dive their way to the goal
Two players running parallel and they just jump up in the air and let themselves fall down... happened twice in 4min. _________________ Gentoo on Uptime Project - Larry is a cow |

Consider that:
1) he is black (that is clear)
2) he grew up in Palermo and consider himself Sicilian
3) his adoptive family is half Jew, and according to Stormfront (nazi website) that makes him somewhat Jewish

Italian-Canadian celebrate Italy victory:
| thestar wrote: | On sunny Monday afternoon, the streets of Little Italy were buzzing with the excited cheers of thousands of soccer fans who had squeezed into every restaurant, café, bar, and ice creamery with a television to watch Italy take on Ireland in the Euro Cup quarter-final qualifier.
With her 6-month-old daughter in tow, Jessica Oliveira was heading through this circus on College St. on her way to the bank. Just minutes after 3:30 p.m., her walk took her past the Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe, a beloved and historic gelato parlour, at the exact moment a masked gunman open fired on a crowded patio.
“There were shots. It was terrifying. People screamed. I grabbed my baby and just ran,” she said.
According to those who were there, five consecutive shots tore through the air. A 35-year-old man on the patio slumped over dead. Another was injured. Glass shattered. The adults grabbed their children and anyone else’s “like footballs” and just ran, said 27-year-old Dyane Campbell who was eating lunch across the street, facing the fray.
|
| Quote: | The Sicilian has been a popular gathering place for many in Little Italy for years, including known Mafia members and associates who have frequently dined. The café has been noted by investigators as one of many locations chosen for meetings between mob figures who like good food while they whisper over business, organized crime investigators said.
Toronto police cover a body on the patio at the Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe at the corner of Montrose and College.
Just a few doors away in the middle of the blocked-off crime scene, several people continued to watch the soccer game and cheer on their team at Il Gatto Nero restaurant bar and café.
As police taped off the corner of Crawford and College streets, fans remained inside Il Gatto Nero, awaiting Italy’s 2-0 victory over Ireland. |

The Ukrainian goal was in the net, didn't Blatter say UEFA was going to introduce goal-line technology to solve the problem?

I think France was through even if Ukraine tied, not 100% sure but France scored more and won against Ukraine. Well it looks like an easy quarter final ......... for Spain
I guess the Greeks, out of rage against Germany, could even win, and again make up for an easy semifinal for Spain ..... _________________ Truck!!
