amarok 2.4.3
kde 4.7.4
amarok will regularly freeze up. icon in lower right of kde stays there, a left click does nothing and a right click has about a 20 second delay before the options finally come up. clicking close does not result in any behavior.
typing 'sudo killall amarok' yields no result no matter how many times i enter it. |

I like kill programs with the htop. Try, you'll like too. |

Here amarok is rendered completely unusable since 2.4.90. The whole program freezes badly.
Killall -9 "works". So far I tried everything, even went so far and started with a new kde user profile and also amarok's profile. Doesn't work. In the kde forums I also found no help. I got used to clementine now, which can be set up to work quite as amarok does. _________________ "Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous."

turns out this is a problem with the gamin server, take a look at this bug report and please upvote it if it solves the issue, this is still present here with kde 4.8.3 and amarok 2.5.0-r2
