I realize you are "just saying..." but what is with all the near-racist comments like this on OTW?
You're pointing out that this situation fits a stereotype. Yeah, and?
I've been relieving boredom with this forum for a while now, and these comments crop up from time to time.

Actually, I think the Japanese and Chinese are by far more racist, but Indians are racist too.

It doesn't make sense to say that Indians are "racist" with regard to skin colour. An "ethnic Indian" can have rather light or quite dark skin. Within the same "race".
The concept of "racism" as taken from the West is inadequate to explain the whole dark skin/light skin discrimination among Indians. Since it is within the race rather than between two separate races. And regional discrimination is just as common as discrimination by skin colour. For example, someone might favour a darker skinned person who is from their own community over someone lighter-skinned from another.
Having said that, are Indians discriminatory towards Africans? Absolutely. Are they likely to call an East Asian "chinky"? Quite. Are they likely to think that all white people lack empathy and have the morals of a dog? Yes.
