When I open a pdf file with evince and try to print to pdf file I get an error:
Code:
Printing is not supported on this printer.

Is there a solution to it?

Works for me, but others have reported an analogous problem with PostScript files:

That is the exact behavior I'm getting.
Generating ps document in OpenOffice and try to pint to file "pdf" format in evince.
So, I'm getting exactly the same error as in the link you posted.

I am able to duplicate the bug using some sundry PS files. (I can't duplicate the bug from OpenOffice, since on my LibreOffice installation I can only export to PDF.)

Not sure what the right thing to do here is since it's already being handle upstream, other than to debug it ourselves ...
