he doesn't even use web browsers but scripts to download and mail him maybe-interesting sites. He has gone past the good-by date ca 2 decades ago.
So whatever he has to say: ignore it. Even if there might be some truth. It is not worth it. _________________

I can't imagine anyone who would consider paying attention to him isn't already aware of the evils that Facebook do. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

| I agree with Stallman's points, and don't give a shit if people use it, but I'm still against Facebook for the sole reason that it's easy to impersonate someone and can easily ruin someone's life with it. One of my dumbass friends did that to me. When he refused to take it down when I asked him, I had to contact Facebook to take it down. He's not my friend anymore. |

Just watch the video revolution OS. You will understand. Guy is stuck up with his mindset. Problem is no one takes him serious anymore since his time is in the past. |

Not so sure, you could say the same about 'Green Peace'. It takes an 'extremist' to inform a small portion of 'mainstream' people... _________________ Gentoo on Uptime Project - Larry is a cow |

"It wouldn't need to be a spectacular engine either, just well integrated into the Facebook experience."
That goes to show how much emphasis Facebook puts on quality - an number so small, electrons need a sub-electron microscope to see it. _________________ Gentoo Studio: http://gentoostudio.org

Much like the eco crowd. Just because they want to live in that "extreme" a manner, doesn't mean we all do. But they can offer an insight for the interested.
"Stuck up with his mindset" isn't necessarily a bad thing. I don't think people should compromise their values or morals "if it works for them."
I could never do the whole modem/ssh thing like he does, but then again, I've never tried it. I've considered doing something similar with VPN, but I just can't bring myself to open up ports and then have to "deal with it." In theory I'd be more willing if I ever figured out -hardened with grsec. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

FYI, there is an "eco crowd" of people like me who believe that living in harmony with nature and the advancement of science and technology are not mutually exclusive. I don't know what our number is, as I haven't met all that many people who think like me about these things. It's more about balance, which is a fundamental law of nature to begin with. _________________ Gentoo Studio: http://gentoostudio.org

For example, I think housing should include 'code requirements' which promote passive heating/cooling. Not only would it likely reduce the ugliness of cookie-cutter housing, but it'd reduce the need for AC/heating. That said, I don't know what that would do to costs, so it would depend. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.
