Hi,
Progress on Gnome 3.4 seems to have stopped up. Is it only nirbheek who works on this?
Any other reason? Is upstream really that unstable still?
If we lack people, maybe there should be some appeals going out?
Hope all is well.

Yes, I noticed that one. Also noticed a lack of updates there. Hopefully the Gentoo Gnome team hasn't disbaned altogether...
Just a bit concerned, thats all.

It was updated in November, not so long ago. And one of the other devs just updated a slew of gedit-related packages.
GNOME has always taken a long time to hit Portage after release. _________________ Personal overlay | Simple backup scheme |

The only way to get it faster would be to have more man power. In any case, even if nothing hits the official portage tree, they are continuously working to get gnome into shape in the gnome overlay, that's the playground that will serve as a base for the definitive migration into portage. _________________ Gentoo Handbook | My website |

Thanks for the responses. Probably just me worrying for nothing.
I am keeping an eye on the overlay. Waiting for a few more packages before I update.
Was steady progress there earlier, then suddenly full stop for 2 weeks (until today). Guess I can at least help with the testing soon.
