Some people are not to be trusted with mathematics. Economists and social scientists come to mind, as do the authors of this excretion.

Almost; I don't think she takes the limes of infinitely many curve segments. But the truly novel aspect is this: In addition to the boring rectangles that Riemann (and other people before him, for some 200 years now) fitted beneath the curve in question, this woman additionally puts little triangles on top all the better to approximate the area under the curve. Genius, I say!

Even funnier is her defense that her "rectangle + triangle" model is not the trapezoidal rule. I guess that's how you get an Ed.D.

They also note that the model is equally useful for ejaculation.

You're not making it any better for me.

She's from Hawaii. She also worked for the Federal Government, and when she couldn't get promoted, she sued them for discriminating against her age, sex, and race. Now she's a professor, teaching others. I admit there might be more than one person with the same name and middle initial, but I see a pattern here.

I am torn between shocked, angered and deeply amused.
