Is anyone having problems with x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.18.0 drivers?
x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.17.0-r3 work fine, but when installed x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.18.0 some images like conky, and PDF's don't show up. |

I am sure you enabled sna-USE-Flag. If so disable it.
I get corruption in firefox, disabling sna fixes that. _________________ "der mac dennoch wesen geil"

I would say try reversing the sna flag. I actually experienced the opposite problem with the driver. I was experiencing video problems and enabling the flag solved it. All you have to loose is some compile time. _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order. |

| If xou sue the sna flag, try the latest git - it's working fine at least for me. |

It has improved lately. But I haven't tried out an OpenGL game yet, where I got segfaults previously. _________________ backend.cpp:92:2: warning: #warning TODO - this error message is about as useful as a cooling unit in the arctic |

Ok, it is working now , but my question is why sna flag isn't working for my Intel i7 SandyBridge computer?
Or, is the bug from the driver?
Thanks. |

Because it's still in heavy development and some of the bugs seem to be hard to hunt down for the Intel driver team. Actually, it took them several kernel versions until my GMA4500 was supported properly, and even now there are pending issues with that real old graphics chip. It can be a bit frustrating at times. _________________ backend.cpp:92:2: warning: #warning TODO - this error message is about as useful as a cooling unit in the arctic |

| So Firefox corruption comes from sna. Great finding. I was being annoyed by it for a couple weeks and didn't associate the sna flag usage to the cause of the corruption. |

| FYI: this has been fixed in the latest drivers, if you unmask x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-9999. Desperate times call for desperate measures… no stability issues here. |
