I want to disable this function, but I can''t find anyware.

Hmm... But I want to use "Mouse Middle Button Paste".

Is that possble only "Disable Mouse Select Copy"????

I use gentoo with xfce4 (monitorless vnc server)

try xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 20 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10"
you can add it to ~/.Xmodmap if you want to happen that automagically when starting your x-session:
echo "pointer = 1 20 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10" >> ~/.Xmodmap

AFAIK the clipboard buffers are different, the mouse selection copy and mouse 3 paste buffer is isolated from the Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V buffer. How would you copy anything that you'd later paste with mouse 3 in your setup?

I am actually experiencing the opposite issue right now: I like to have mouse selection, and used to have it until a couple of weeks ago, and now it seems to have disappeared.
I thought it might be a trivial settings thing, but I have not been able to find in in the xfce control panels. I searched for an xmodmap command, and cannot quite figure it out. Any idea ?

In terminal application delete the $TERM setting in the prefs, at least that worked for me :D

My problem is not specific to the terminal. I would like to use the mouse selection to copy even in other application (emacs comes to mind).
Anyway, I tried, and it does not seem to change anything.
