lightdm-gtk-greeter-1.1.4-r1 failed the configure phase:
configure: error: Package requirements (
) were not met:

No package 'liblightdm-gobject-1' found

I am building a new Gentoo system.
A variation in my method is that I `emerge @world`
with a pre-populated the world file, just after the essentials
of stage3 was completed (and reboot from main hard disk).
The pre-populated world file was created with contents from an
equivalent system that was successfully built with Gentoo the previous week.

I think that it should not matter whether I emerge individual packages
in the conventional and interactive way (one package at a time)
or in bulk via a pre-populated world file. I was expecting portage to
work out the dependencies in both cases (assuming the the ebuilds are correct).

Here is some info...

No package 'liblightdm-gobject-1' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GREETER_CFLAGS
and GREETER_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

In the first emerge, portage requested many modifications to keywords.
These are the ones related to lightdm:

Thank you for reading!
Does anyone see anything wrong?

Hmm, I just noticed that `emerge Dtvp world`(essentially -D vs -Du) yields a different dependency tree and therefore build manifest. (160 packages, the approximate difference being many rebuilds). I did not expect that on a new system. I will try it and see what happens.

EDIT: I realized that (of course) -u will generate a smaller build manifest because it is only picking those that need to be upgraded which is a smaller set.
