hi guys

today when i was updating, portage gave me a note that compiz is masked an will be put out fom portage.
is there any one out there that have manage to get compiz-9999 to work.i have manage to get it to run.
but i had to "USE="-gtk -kde" when i compiled compiz. without the flags.i could not get a decoration around the
windows.i have always used emerald and have found that emerald is still working with compiz but not in gentoo.

WE HAVE TO GET COMPIZ-FUSION UP RUNNING

i am spending h at my box per day and if i could i would help but dont know how

correct me if i am wrong.i dont know if emerald unsupported/deprecated or not. as i can see from http://cgit.compiz.org/fusion/decorators/emerald ,the latest emerald is 0.9.5.

and from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1870792

"and emerald-0.9.4 works well
NOT for latest emerald (0.9.5)"

hmmm...0.9.5 work better for me, but it's shit
/me use 0.8.8 with emerald from my overlay (stuff)
now with kde-4.8 support (patch)
0.9...without compisite || segfault || without decorations

i am using compiz-0.9.5.92.1(9999 from desktop-overlay) with a custom emerald-0.9.5.ebuild
all works but kde/qt event loop and kde compatibility.but you can use it with kde even if the useflag is set to -kde
(i am using kde-9999).superkaramba and skydome pic have to be refreshed all the time.

thats all

to start compiz.i just have set it as the default window-manager for kde and have made a new startup command "emerald --replace"

i am using both fgrlx for my r600 and radeon "kms"for my rv350
