Hey all,

I cannot remember since when I am having this, I also checked the configs in /etc/pam.d/ to hopefully find
what might have been causing this, but wasn't succeeding yet.

I am having a `last` output like this:

Code:
# last
kokyu   pts/5        192.168.2.21     Wed Jan 11 14:58   still logged in
kokyu   ssh          192.168.2.21     Wed Jan 11 14:58 - 15:08  (00:10)
kokyu   pts/0        192.168.2.21     Wed Jan 11 11:42    gone - no logout
kokyu   ssh          192.168.2.21     Wed Jan 11 11:42 - 14:58  (03:15)
kokyu   pts/0        192.168.2.21     Fri Jan  6 14:43 - 14:46  (00:03)
kokyu   ssh          192.168.2.21     Fri Jan  6 14:43 - 14:46  (00:03)
kokyu   pts/0        192.168.2.21     Thu Jan  5 11:59 - 12:22  (00:23)
kokyu   ssh          192.168.2.21     Thu Jan  5 11:59 - 12:22  (00:23)
[...]

Does anyone know why ssh is making its way into here, or, pts/N, and whether (and how) it is
wise / possible to reduce this to a single line (/event) per login?

Many thanks,
Kokyu.

yay, yes, commenting out the
Code:
#session                optional        pam_lastlog.so

in the /etc/pam.d/system-login now solved the issue of having all login sessions DUPed in the lastlog. :)

Many thanks,
Kokyu.
