When compiling Evolution-1.0.8 with all it's dependancies on a clean system. I want to confirm this with anyone before I file a bug report, and also if anyone can suggest a workaround.

Cheers.

Code:

gnomeprint -lfreetype -lglade-gnome -lglade -lxml -lz -lgnomeui -lart_lgpl -lgdk_imlib -lSM -lICE -lgnome -lgnomesupport -lesd -laudiofile -ldb1 -lgdk_pixbuf -lgtk -lgdk -lgmodule -lglib -ldl -lXi -lXext -lX11 -lm -lgnomecanvaspixbuf

I'm using evolution 1.0.8 and it installed perfectly...

I'm not an expert, and this is just a guess, but... do you have libglade installed?

try #emerge libglade

see if that helps. :?:

libglade is a dependancy of evolution, so yeah, it's installed...

I even re-emerged it just in case. Same result.

Just in case no one noticed, see the libtool lines? It's looking for libglade.la in /var/tmp/portage/libglade-0.17-r6/image//usr/lib/libglade.la

See the //?

I'm really curious to know where the heck it's getting that path from...

Thanks to Djakkir and Nullpuppy in @gentoo for promptly slapping me on the head and telling me you can use // in a path...

So, I just created a symlink to libglade.la in /var/tmp/portage/libglade-0.17-r6/image/usr/lib, and it worked perfectly.

I had the exact same problem....

Perhaps its a bug in the emerge file or the configuration.

I use 1.08
