|

When compiling Evolution-1.0.8 with all it's dependancies on a clean system. I want to confirm this with anyone before I file a bug report, and also if anyone can suggest a workaround.
Cheers.

I'm using evolution 1.0.8 and it installed perfectly...
I'm not an expert, and this is just a guess, but... do you have libglade installed?
try #emerge libglade
see if that helps. _________________ Edward Alfert

libglade is a dependancy of evolution, so yeah, it's installed...
I even re-emerged it just in case. Same result. |

Just in case no one noticed, see the libtool lines? It's looking for libglade.la in /var/tmp/portage/libglade-0.17-r6/image//usr/lib/libglade.la
See the //?
I'm really curious to know where the heck it's getting that path from... |

Thanks to Djakkir and Nullpuppy in @gentoo for promptly slapping me on the head and telling me you can use // in a path...
So, I just created a symlink to libglade.la in /var/tmp/portage/libglade-0.17-r6/image/usr/lib, and it worked perfectly. |

I had the exact same problem....
Perhaps its a bug in the emerge file or the configuration.
I use 1.08 |
